Competitive Conway is an addition to the "knock each other off a platform" genre, based on some of my favorite Mario Party minigames: Platform Peril, Sumo of Doom-o, and The Final Countdown. My issue with all of those is that there is very little else going on, and so it is very easy to play a very safe style and be virtually unkillable. So, to encourage more action, I made the primary scoring system based on controlling tiles in a Conway's game of life simulation!
